Love At First Vintage Moroccan Rug 5’x8′ (Wool)

The Azilal Berber Tribe produced this piece.  Azilal and Berber carpets are well known for their white natural wool primary colors (the “ground”), along with black or colorful designs for accents. 

This vintage rug was made by a woman of the Azilal tribe in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco.

Approximately 20-30 years old, this Moroccan carpet would have originally been made by a Berber woman for personal use in her own home. She created it with wool and small portions of cotton thread and permitted herself personal freedom in expressing her own creativity and values through North African symbology and colors as she wove these designs.

Perfect for a living room, dining room, library or even an office, this large sized Azilal Moroccan rug will grab the attention of everyone stepping in the room.
